Beacon Fell Country Park

Distance from the cottages 12.8 miles

Bowland Visitor Centre is situated in Beacon Fell Country Park which covers 271 acres of woodland, moorland and farmland. The Park is also part of the 'wheels for all' project and there are all terrain buggies available to loan for people with limited mobility. There are maps of the 3 designated accessible trails available in the park ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. The vehicles carry wet weather gear and have storage for your belongings.
On your first visit you will be required to register and take part in a brief assessment and training session. Once this is completed you will be given a pass which will enable you to book the buggy as and when you wish to (subject to availabilty of course). There is no charge for this excellent service but please check for availability with the Rangers Centre on 01772534709
